So, as this blog indicates, I will be in Japan!... for my last semester of college, in less than a month! WOOHOO!! I am finally getting excited about going. It's been a bit stressful getting everything together, but I'm pretty sure that the worst is behind me! I have my passport, a plane ticket, and I just mailed out for my Japanese Visa on Thursday (they said it'll take 4-7 business days to come back). Now my concerns revolve around how much stuff to take and, more importantly, how to get from Kansai International Airport to Kansai Gaidai (the university) when I arrive, since that day (Aug. 25th) is the one and only day the university doesn't pick students up! Ooops :-/ Any advice? Directions would probably help...
I know a few Obies going on the program, and I'm planning on meeting up with a few while I'm in the Osaka and/or Kansai area (or elsewhere!). If you know of people there I might know or should meet, definately email me and I'll see if I can get in touch with them.
For more info on my program, go here: http://web.kansaigaidai.ac.jp/asp/02_international_programs/03.html
I'll try to update when I can!
